We're Back!

So, okay, now you all know that I blog like I journal - very intermittently. I will try to do better.
I had technical delays - how's that for an excuse?

Anyway, I will post a few things this week to get caught up!

The end of January found Duane, Becky, Adam, Tessa, and I in California. Becky and I had been planning to go for awhile to stay with my mom while Dee and Eddie took a break for Dee's birthday. Duane came along so he could help his dad take care of some business. Becky ended up taking care of Grandma the whole time while Duane and I were off helping his dad. We had a good week though. We got everything done we needed to do with his dad and I had a little time with my mom. We were grateful to get to be with both of them.

Here's Adam in his Great-Grandma Lemley's Halloween costume for this last year. Unfortunately, Great-Grandpa Lemley didn't turn on the porch light so no trick or treater's came and so no one got to see Grandma Lemley as Zorro! But Adam was pretty cute

Adam also got to climb in the avocado tree! A third generation to do it! As I watched him in

the tree it brought back many memories of times I spent in that tree. The branches don't look as far away from each other as they used to (I'm a lot bigger now!) but some are much wider around and I couldn't get my hands around them now so I didn't even bother to swing from them!

Ares' Turn

We got to watch Ares tonight. He is such a cutie! I was hoping to get a picture of him crawling but he wasn't even here for 1 1/2 hours before he went to sleep in my arms. He woke up crying twice - once when I laughed loud and once when I coughed. We really need to get him used to loud noises! He slept in my arms until Danny and Lacey got back - about 2 1/2 hours. I love his smile!
Andrew took this one.

Yes, Grandpa is feeding him on the counter but I am standing right there. I promise he was safe!

Wow! I put three pictures on this blog with no one around to help me! Be impressed!

By George, I think I've Got it!

Ok, I will stop blogging for today but Tessa needed equal time and I had to show the tradition continuing - Adam is playing mousetrap with Ben. So, a third generation enjoys the game...

Santa Adam

Isn't my Santa Adam cute? Becky and the kids have been over several times the past few days. Adam had us laughing when he did this. This is my Santa Spud - I now have three Mr. Potato Heads and I didn't even know I was collecting them! :) They do make me laugh and Adam likes to play with them. (I have Darth Tater and Indiana Spud, too!) Kevin brought me this one from the MTC that a missionary left behind. (They leave behind lots of things apparently!) Anyway, Adam makes me laugh. The other day we went to Wal-Mart. When we left I gave him a banana I bought. By the time we were in the car he was done and wanted another one. Becky said I could give him another one. He finished it and then cried all the way home, "I need three bananas." He cracks me up!

Learning more all the time!

Becky is showing me how to download pictures from my camera to my blog. I'm sure this lesson will have to be repeated several times before I get it. Anyway, I found this one of Kelsey on our swingset talking on the phone. She wasn't on the phone all the time, honest Michael and Kathleen!

A New Year

It's a new year! Last year didn't start off well or end well (there were good times in between, though) so here's hoping for a good 2009!The Monday and Tuesday after everyone went back to school and work (and after Kelsey went home - sorry Kelsey!) we got dumped on! It snowed all day Monday, took a break in the night and then snowed most of Tuesday. Over a week later it is still on the ground but we haven't had any snow since. One morning when I drove Matt over to BYU (he had a flat tire) at 5:30am it was 7 degrees! I love it!
